Ecotourism Bukit Lawang is a locally-owned jungle trekking agency launched in December 2022. We specialize in jungle trekking and offer day tours in Bukit Lawang, Sumatra, Indonesia. We aim to give you an unforgettable experience, while being committed to protect and preserve the Sumatran Jungle and its incredible flora and fauna! We find it important to strictly follow the rules from Gunung Leuser National Park. We are committed to keeping the animals safe and the jungle clean.  

We also value supporting our local community and their economy. Therefore, all profit remains in the community in Bukit Lawang. Booking with us means you’re directly contributing to a better local economy! We believe this will ultimately help to save our Jungle. For this reason, Ecotourism Bukit Lawang cannot offer discounts on jungle treks or day tours. The prices of the jungle treks and tours in Bukit Lawang are decided by the Indonesia Tourist Guides Association (ITGA-HPI Himpunan Pramuwisata Indonesia) and should be the same in every company. We want our guests to enjoy the full experience with the same quality service but most important: we want our staff - your guides - to get paid a normal salary for their hard work!

The Ecotourism Bukit Lawang team consists solely of local guides and people from Bukit Lawang, Sumatra, Indonesia. We’re experienced English speaking guides, certified by the Indonesia Tourist Guides Association. Most of us are friends and have been working together for several years. We are excited to share our knowledge about the unique wildlife within the Gunung Leuser National Park and take you on an unforgettable jungle trekking adventure!
