No, Ecotourism Bukit Lawang cannot offer discounts on jungle treks or day tours. The prices of the jungle treks and tours in Bukit Lawang are decided by the Indonesia Tourist Guides Association (ITGA-HPI Himpunan Pramuwisata Indonesia) and should be the same in every company. We want our guests to enjoy the full experience with the same quality service but most important: we want our staff - your guides - to get paid a normal salary for their hard work!
No, Bukit Lawang is not considered a malarial area. There are mosquitoes however, which is why we recommend bringing mosquito repellent!
In reference to the weather the best time to visit Bukit Lawang is January-March or June-August (high season). However, there’s always a chance of rain! In high season it’s easier to find a group for your trek, but it’s also more crowded in the jungle.
