Discover traditional local life on this fun day tour! Take a becak or opt for bicycles and see the beautifully green ricefields outside of Bukit Lawang. Get a chance to see how local people work and live their lives, see traditional small villages, schools, rubber- and cacao plantations and more! You’ll also get to see the homemade production of brown sugar and tofu - the traditional way! On Fridays and Sundays, you even get to visit the traditional local market. At the end of your experience you can enjoy a delicious and freshly harvested young coconut.

This cool rafting experience will have you floating down Bohorok River during 7 km! It’s an ideal activity for hot days! On some parts of the journey you’ll bump over rocks and raft on whitewater, while other parts are more calm so you can enjoy your surroundings! On the way, you’ll stop on the river bank to relax, take a swim and enjoy a tropical fruit snack or jungle lunch. After reaching Pante Rame, you’ll go back to Bukit Lawang by oplet while enjoying the beautiful rice fields and green surroundings.

Explore the unique Bat Cave of Bukit Lawang and enjoy a tasty BBQ at Landak River! The Bat Cave contains many unique rock formations and thousands of bats and other species of insects, spiders, snakes and scorpions! After exploring the Bat Cave you’ll walk to Landak River and if you’re lucky, you might even spot an Orangutan or two on the way! At Landak River, you can relax, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and refresh yourself in the river. A delicious BBQ with chicken or fish, rice and a tropical fruit salad will then be served!

Always wanted to learn how to cook delicious traditional Indonesian food? Then this cooking class is the perfect activity for you! In the morning you’ll either go to the local market of Bukit Lawang to buy all the fresh ingredients you need for the cooking class or you get to do some gardening! After, our cooks will share all of their tips and tricks to teach you exactly how to cook two authentic Indonesian dishes. You get to decide which dishes you'd like to cook! After the cooking class its time to enjoy your meal!
